Conform unui raport publicat Luni de ministerul telecomunicatilor din Turcia, in ultimii 5 ani au fost blocate nu mai putin de 110 site-uri de gambling ilegal.
In spatele acestei initiative s-a aflat Loteria Nationala si autoritatile raspunzatoare cu telecomunicatiile din Turcia. Reprezentantii loteriei au declarat ca au dorit a se actiona in privinta inchiderii asupra a nu mai putin de 440 de site-uri de gambling in ultimii 5 ani, dar au reusit sa blocheze doar 110.
Din 2007 gamblingul este ilegal in Turcia, in 1997 luandu-se masura inchiderii cazinourilor land-based. Populatia Turciei numara nu mai putin de 74 milioane.
The country of Turkey has blocked 110 gambling websites that it says are illegal over the last five years, according to an annual report released by the country´s telecommunications authority on Monday.
The groups behind the initiative are the National Lottery and Turkey’s telecommunications authority. The Lottery said that it wanted action against 440 gambling websites over the five years, but just the 110 were blocked.
Gambling is illegal in Turkey, as of 2007. Brick-and-mortar casinos closed in 1997.
Turkey has a population of roughly 74 million people.
