Steve Sung a câștigt evenimentul WSOP 2013 No-Limit Hold’em / Six Handed cu un buy in de 25.000$, unul dintre cele mai importante evenimente WSOP. Steve a câștigat peste 1,2 milioane $ și o brățară de aur după ce l-a învins pe Galfond la jocul de heads up.
18 jucători au început ziua trei de concurs și de altfel cea finală, iar Christian Harder, Fabian Quoss, Marvin Rettenmaier, David “Bakes” Baker, Igor Kurganov și alți câțiva au fost eliminați devreme ajungând la masa finală neoficială de 7 jucători. Aici, Shannon Shorr a pierdut în fața lui Galfond care a avut perechea cea mai mare, părăsind jocul pe locul 7.
La masa finală Richard Lyndaker a fost primul eliminat pe locul 6 fiind urmat de Lehmanski pe 5. După masa de prânz, Galfond care era lider la chipuri l-a eliminat pe Chidwick, cu un set de cinciari, trimitându-l în poziția 4 cu un premiu de 350.000 $.
Sung a reușit să preia poziția de lider de chipuri de la Galfond, iar Sterrn care avea cele mai puține chipuri a jucat all in cu A-5 împotriva lui Galfond cu Q-Q. Stern nu a reușit să-și îmbunătățească mâna și a părăsit jocul pe locul 3, lăsându-i pe Galfond și pe Sung în lupta pentru campionat.
La heads up Galfond a plasat un three-bet pe K-Q iar Sung a jucat call cu J-10. Pe flop nu a venit nimic bun iar la turn a sosit un 10 care i-a adus victoria lui Sung. Pentru obținerea locului II, Galfond a câștigat 744.841$.

Steve Sung won the WSOP 2013 No-Limit Hold’em / Six Handed $25,000 buy in event, one of the premiere events of the WSOP. Steve won over $1.2 million and a gold bracelet after beating Phil Galfond in heads up play.
18 players started the third and final day of the event and Christian Harder, Fabian Quoss, Marvin Rettenmaier, David “Bakes” Baker, Igor Kurganov and some others were eliminated early to reach the unofficial final table of seven. There Shannon Shorr lost to Galfond who had a biggest pair and left in 7th place.
In the final table Richard Lyndaker was the first to go in 6th place and was followed by Lehmanski in 5th place. Galfond who was the chip leader eliminated Chidwick after lunch with a set of 5′s and sent him to fourth place and $350,000 prize.
Sung was able to take away the chip lead from Galfond and Sterrn who was had the shortest stack moved all in with A-5 against Galfond with Q-Q. Stern didn’t improve his hand and left 3rd leaving Galfond and Sung battle for the championship.
In heads up play Galfond three-bet K-Q and Sung called with J-10. The flop was a brick and on the turn a 10 came giving Sung the victory. Galfond earned $744,841 for his second place achievement.
